At the end of most of our Cultural and Creative courses, we hold events that are free and open to everyone.

We are also planning a further diary of events, including classical music recitals and concerts, for 2022 and beyond, and we will make all details available here.

For information on any of our events, please get in touch. You can also register to receive information by completing the short form below:

Some examples of previous events, at the culmination of our Andalucian Cookery Course, our cookery guests prepare tapas for an evening of Wine and Food. We invite one of the Granada Bodegas to join us with a selection of their fabulous wines for tasting and buying. We are also joined by one of Granada's best delicatessens, and we get to sample a wide range of cheeses, cured meats and jamón.

To bring our Flamenco Course to a close (both in 2019 and 2021), we put on a performance in the village of Moclín for the village and invited guests. This is a magical evening, providing a unique opportunity for our Flamenco guests to dance in an historic and beautiful location and for our audience members to share in something of a fiesta and a celebration of a rich and emotive art form.

We visited Moclin with the help of Ian and Andrew. We really enjoyed not only their knowledge about the region but also their friendly approach. We would recommend them to everyone!

Activities throughout the year

Private visits to Moclín Castle

Monday - Friday by prior arrangement. Allow 2.5 hours for your visit.

COST : 30€ per person.

This is a walking tour that includes a private tour of the 13th Century Castillo de Moclín. This incredible monument, sitting on top of one of the peaks that make up the Montes de Granada, has played a major part in the history of Granada.

From the time it was built, it was under almost constant siege for 200 years and finally fell to Los Reyes Católicos, Isabel y Fernando, in 1486. The castle became ‘the smallest court for the greatest Queen that Spain has ever known’ for 6 years before the capture of Granada.

This walk will also take in a visit to either see one of the neolithic cave drawing below the castle,or the trenches from the Spanish Civil War. The walk ends with a drink and a tapas in the village square.
